Aid for Labs is supporting Jenderal Soedirman University in Indonesia!

Through our Indonesian colleague here at EMBL, we identified one university in Indonesia that is in a need for some equipment for their Lab at the Faculty of Biology, Jenderal Soedirman University. It is located in the rural area of the medium-sized town of Purwokerto (population 80.000 inhabitants) on the base of Mount Slamet, the 2nd highest volcano in Java.

The lab works on population genetics of plants and animals as well as barcoding of microbial communities and is in need of general equipment such as PCR machines, electrophoresis chambers, gel documentation systems, nano drop, etc.). Aid for Labs volunteers have collected some equipment that is not used anymore but still fully functional.

As a non-profit organization, Aid for Labs doesn’t have a core funding and relies on support and donations. We are currently raising funds to ship the equipment to Indonesia. Our goal is 1500 EUR. Help us reach it by donating:
